The network of Russian-German laser centers is a successful joint project created within the framework of an intergovernmental agreement about scientific-technical cooperation in the field of lasers and optical technologies.

Laser Innovative-Technological Centers (LITC) offer Russian industrial enterprises assistance in the practical introduction of innovative laser technologies aiming at production modernization and at enhancing the competitiveness of manufactured products. 

The LITCs were started in the form of non-commercial partnerships and have been supplied with modern laser equipment from German producers working in the 3-D processing area. The staff of the centers consists of professionals with many years of experience in the field of laser technology. 

The project is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the Laser Association, the Laser Zentrum Hannover, the Laser Center Bavaria and the governmental offices of Moscow and Saint-Petersburg and those of the Rostov, Sverdlovsk and Kaluga regions.
